The egg spring rolls are great but the fried rice is not so good, rice was stale, tofu was hard and chewy. The fried rice is not worth the try or time.

If you are looking for a Thai place to go to look no further. This has become my favorite Thai restaurant and not just for the amazing food but the amazing service as well. Have ate here for a while and have always been treated like family. The food quality and serving size is out of this world. I recommend the egg rolls and corn patties for an appetizer and the curry is outstanding. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

My gf and I LOVE this place! Hands down best Spring Rolls ever (get the ones with tofu). A Denton fine dining gem.

BEST Thai in Denton, but I've noticed they must have changed something with how they make their crispy spring rolls. Last few times, over the last couple of months, the inside is VERY cold. Like still very chilled even though the wrapper is obviously freshly fried. Makes me wonder if they have started freezing them ahead of time and so the inside doesn't get heated through. Fix that and it's back to 5 stars! :)

  5. About 15 years ago, Glenda and I passed through Denton. We stopped and ate Thai food. It was wonderful, but I never remembered the name. Today, I'm in Denton, and I picked the closest Thai restaurant to the hotel. It's the same place! Service was very slow, because one girl had the whole restaurant to herself. And she did a great job. Tip according please! I always want something different. The Seafood Hor Mok caught my eye. A seafood medley sautéed, throw in some bell pepper, carrot, basil, mix in a red curry sauce, and serve over steamed cabbage. Well, I put all that on top of Jasmine steamed rice. TMO. Total Mouth Orgasm! This dish was phenomenal! You know how squid can be so rubbery? Nope, not here! Throughly enjoyed every bite. The egg rolls are very good and twice the size of where I usually go. There was enough left over that I'll be eating again later tonight. Feel free to take my advice and come to Thai Ocha!

  6. My SO is allergic to red onion, but thankfully, the kinds of onion used were clearly labeled on the menu. I'm vegetarian, and there are plenty of vegetarian options. My SO got the pad thai lunch special, while I got the ka-prao lunch special. I like a medium amount of spiciness, so I got an L3 level of spice (out of 5), which was perfect for me. My SO got L1 (the lowest level), but still found it a little spicy. We also got veggie rolls (wrapped in rice paper). All the food was delicious.

(I did order fried rice instead of steamed rice, but they brought me steamed rice instead. I didn't really care that much, though.)

The only real flaw in the meal was the drinks. I got mango iced tea, but it had too much ice (the straw couldn't even reach the bottom of the cup) and was very watered down. My SO got a Coke, but it was totally flat.

Even despite the drinks, it was a great experience. One waiter who took our orders, and a different server brought our food out (he was very polite and attentive).

I love Thai Ocha and have been eating here for YEARS! However, this js the first time I’ve had it in a few weeks and it looks like they changed the recipes 😭 EVERYTHING looks different AND tastes different. Even the eggroll dipping sauce is different. Absolutely hearbroken 💔 I will miss the old Thai Ocha terribly.

My go to Thai place when in Denton! I love their pad see ew, spring egg rolls and Thai tea. They have different spice levels for all their dishes and they take to go orders as well.

  9. First time visitor...a bit difficult to see although its right off 380. In fact, found this place more or less by accident.. Not a lot of ambiance per se, but nice and tidy. Great food, probably the best Tom Kha soup I've ever had. My son's spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce they served it with flavorful and authentic. Got the Ginger stir fry for dinner (#2 spicy) with beef and it was outstanding. Will plan on going there again.

Yellow curry with chicken and fried spring rolls were excellent. Go for the food not atmosphere. Restaurant needs some serious spring cleaning and face lift.
